My ‘other’ Christmas Concert

Posted in GCC, Technical Tatters, Work at 10:08 pm by Kirby

So, I realized that I didn’t post about the other Christmas Concerts I get to be a part of.  They are quite the event with somewhere over 15,000 people attending over the 5 concerts.  In the picture below we had every input open except the pastor’s mic and the solo mic.  Those mics include:

8 violins, 3 violas, 2 celli, 1 Upright Bass, 2 piano mics, keyboard, bass guitar, acoustic guitar, 4 drum microphones, 3 trumpets, 3 french horns, 3 trombones, a tuba, stereo tympani mics, chimes and orchestra bass drum, 2 flutes, 1 oboe, 1 clarinet, 1 harp.  Add to that 12 choir mics, 12 handheld ensemble mics, and 3 childrens choir mics.

That’s what we call a good concert!
